  1. Christmas at Craigdarroch Castle

History lovers will want to check out Craigdarroch Castle this Christmas to tour the seasonally decorated first floor and dance hall. The iconic mansion’s rich history is even further enhanced by the return of Jason Steven’s traditional one-man performance of A Christmas Carol.

  1. Daniel Lapp’s 18th Annual Home for Christmas Concert

Gather with friends and family to sing along with the Victoria Conservatory of Music’s annual Home for Christmas Concert on their Youtube channel. Performances include holiday jingles by the youth BC Fiddle Orchestra, Folkestra! And the Joy of Life Choir, and the Swingin’ Shepherds House Band with special appearances from Juno Award winning vocalist Shari Ulrich and others.

Head over to Uptown to experience a spectacular 60-foot synthetic skating rink. The magical atmosphere includes Uptown’s sparkling Christmas tree, holiday lights, music, festive vintage designs from Canadian artists Rachel Rivera and Claire Ouchi, and illuminated igloo domes to keep skaters warm before and after taking the ice.

For those craving a holiday activity on the spookier side, a Ghosts of Christmas Past Walking Tour is worth checking out. Tales of Songhees legends, a Christmas Eve murder, and other yuletide specters are discussed as a tour guide takes participants along a 90-minute walk of ghoulish fun in the historic streets of Victoria.

While the Butchart Gardens may not be in full bloom, there are still tons of beautiful sights to see during the winter. There are even 12 Days of Christmas exhibits hidden throughout the gardens that are plenty of fun to discover.
