The past two months have been a roller coaster of emotions and change around the world. Here in Victoria, we’ve adjusted to the enormous ramifications of a global pandemic, and the resulting stay-at-home health directive. But as Dr. Bonnie Henry says, “This is not forever, this is just for now.”

Here at YAM magazine, we want to capture this once-in-a-lifetime experience through the eyes of people who are living it: you, our readers. To that end, we are creating a visual memory bank — a photographic time capsule — of this historic time.

Send us the photo that best represents your personal experience or adventure of living through the COVID-19 pandemic. It could be learning a new dish or skill, enjoying nature, supporting friends or strangers, being a frontline worker, working from home or teaching your children at home.

We have a pandemic in common, but we have all experienced it in different ways. Your photo could be featured in a special photo album on the YAM website. The deadline for submission is Friday, May 22, 2020.

By submitting your photo, you agree to the Rules & Regulations.

To enter, email your pandemic portrait to together@yammagazine.com and please include your first and last name and a brief description of what the photo captures. We look forward to getting a glimpse into your new normal!
