A crowd of 1,700 elegant picnickers attired in head-to-toe white descended on Ship Point on Thursday evening for the third annual Dîner en Blanc Victoria.
Launched in Paris in 1988 by François Pasquier and a handful of friends, Le Dîner en Blanc has become a worldwide affair. Each gathering is headed by local organizers who fell in love with the concept and wanted to bring it to their city. Guests gather at a secret location, which is revealed at the last minute, for the sole purpose of sharing a gourmet meal with friends in one of their city’s most beautiful public spaces.
Guests could bring their own fare or partake in an gourmet meal prepared by Chef Dan Hayes of the London Chef.
Victoria organizers included Tyson Villeneuve and Jordan Kallman of The Social Concierge, Aidan Henry of Brink Events, Jamie Kaban, of the Victoria organizing committee and Danielle Thaler of the Alliance Française de Victoria.
