Tickets go on sale June 1 for a bigger, better event in a whole new venue.
Whether you are a seasoned pro or a curious beginner, there is no better way to explore the world of wine than at a wine festival. You can enjoy winemakers’ dinners, learn from industry exports at seminars and master classes and, most importantly, taste dozens of wines from myriad producers.
All of this and more will be served at the Victoria International Wine Festival, September 24 to 30, 2023.
Although California Wine is the focus, more than 400 wines from more than 50 wineries in 14 countries will be poured, including some of the world’s best vintages, and an impressive array of international speakers will be on hand to talk terroir and trends. The highlight will almost certainly be the two grand tastings to be held September 29 and 30 at the Victoria Conference Centre — this is a new venue for the fest, allowing it to expand beyond what they could offer in previous years.
Festival director David Bain describes VICWF “as a great way for attendees to experience the city’s diverse restaurant and wine culture on a global level,” and adds: “We’ve worked hard to curate an exceptional lineup of wineries for this year’s festival. We want attendees to have the opportunity to try new wines and discover new favourites.”
Tickets for the Victoria International Wine Festival 2023 go on sale at 9 a.m. on June 1; find the program and tickets at http://www.vicwf.com.
