Hung Dance (Taiwan) | BIRDY | Nov. 14 + 15, 2025
The season opens with the Canadian premiere of the award-winning BIRDY, a striking contemporary dance work that weaves Eastern traditions and Western mythology and explores the tension between freedom and limitation.
CCN/Aterballetto (Italy) | Mixed Program | Feb. 6 + 7, 2026
This mixed program by CCN/Aterballetto, Italy’s leading contemporary dance company, has something for everyone: a reimagined Rhapsody in Blue celebrating 100 years of George Gershwin’s legendary composition; Solo Echo by Victoria’s own Crystal Pite; and a riotous new work by Italian choreographer on the rise, Diego Tortelli.
GALLIM (New York) | Bodies of Matter | Mar. 6 + 7, 2026
Under the direction of groundbreaking artist Andrea Miller, GALLIM’s dancers combine daring physicality with unfiltered emotion and avant-garde aesthetics. Bodies of Matter is a contemporary mixed program that doesn’t just ask to be watched; it asks to be felt, absorbed, and experienced through the body.
Boca Tuya (New York) | Mixed Program | Apr. 10 + 11, 2026
The season concludes with the beautifully intricate and heartfelt works of visionary Puerto Rican Artistic Director and choreographer Omar Román de Jesús. Acclaimed for its surrealist narratives and unforgettable characters, the company features some of New York’s finest movement artists.

Nutcracker | Ukrainian Shumka Dancers (Edmonton) | Nov. 28–30, 2025
Shumka’s Nutcracker blends the grace and lyrical nature of classical movement with the strength and power of Ukrainian dance. Live accompaniment by the Victoria Symphony brings the iconic musical score to life. A memorable event for the whole family!
Belle Spirale Dance Projects (Vancouver) | UNIVERSUS | Jan. 16, 2026
This ambitious double bill, choreographed by Alexis Fletcher and Fernando Hernando Magadan, wrestles with questions of time, extinction, and our collective future. UNIVERSUS features a powerhouse ensemble of eight contemporary dancers, and promises to transform the McPherson Playhouse with immersive design, spoken word poetry, and breathtaking technical elements.
