For our Style issue, YAM’s Janine Metcalfe tells us she wanted to showcase a vintage vibe. “I’ve always been attracted to the fashion of the forties and fifties,” she says, “and now that we’re seeing the hope for travel again, and we miss Europe, I thought combining my love of vintage and our collective love of Europe would be fun. We can still fantasize about travelling to France, and Victoria’s architecture really does lend itself to that concept.”

Janine says it was finding the Teri Jon organza shirt-dress at Bernstein & Gold that cinched the concept. “That dress really emphasizes how cyclical fashion is, and how each decade of fashion informs the next, and how something that was designed decades ago can still find its place in a modern world.”
